Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

The Role
We are looking for a diligent and organised Accounts Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. We are flexible with the number of hours for the right candidate and open to applicants with various levels of experience and qualification. This role plays a key part in supporting the smooth operation of our financial processes and provides an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the purchase ledger, including posting supplier invoices (using Sage and Rapport).
  • Reconciling supplier statements and preparing weekly payment runs.
  • Processing supplier payments, staff expenses, and credit card expenditure.
  • Reconciling company bank accounts and sub-consultant accounts.
  • Managing the company asset register and accounting for depreciation.
  • Assisting with aged debt collection and posting sales invoices to Sage and Rapport.
  • Providing additional support to the administration team as needed, including occasional phone cover and ad-hoc duties to support the smooth functioning of the office.

What We’re Looking For

  • A candidate with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience with Sage software (advantageous but not essential).
  • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications (desirable but not a requirement).
  • A flexible and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support a creative and dynamic team.
