Back to school week is always an exciting time, but for the students at Blackheath High School this is an extra special occasion. We are delighted to see them enjoying their new three-storey main entrance, specialist teaching building and lower ground resource centre, and feature central courtyard social space.
The new Senior School buildings link seamlessly with the Sixth Form, which includes its own dedicated secure entrance created from the remodelling and refurbishment of the original Victorian building, Westcombe House.
This has been an exciting project with many challenges due to working on a live, tight site, in a conservation area and with locally listed buildings. We worked very closely with the school, the Royal Borough of Greenwich and contractors to create a special building which everyone can be proud of.
