Ellis Williams Architects has been shortlisted in the Architectural Practice of the Year category at the Education Estates Awards 2018.
This is due to the highly collaborative work with GDST Newcastle High School for Girls. The planning restrictions were extremely onerous, but working as a united front, Ellis Williams and the School developed the design to address Planners’ and neighbours’ concerns; resulting in a unanimous approval decision at the Planning Committee.
