Student’s at Howell’s School have been enjoying the use of their new Sports Pavilion since it opened at the start of the school year.
The aspiration of the design was to provide a modern sports facility that reflects the dynamics of the 21st century, with minimal footprint on the existing green space that is used for sport.
Situated within the Cardiff Road Conservation Area of Llandaff, the scale and proportions of the two-storey clubhouse have been carefully considered to reduce the visual impact on the existing surroundings.
A limited palette of quality materials such as stone and glazing are proposed to marry the minimal clean lined facades to the stonework of the existing Grade II* Listed Howell’s school.
