This significant remodelling, refurbishment, and extension project will help meet the growing demand for high-quality post-16 and post-19 SEND education in the borough. The new hub will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment for 120 students in a dedicated sixth form facility, with additional adult learning and social care spaces for young people up to age 25.
Designed to support the transition into adulthood, the facility will offer a broad range of spaces from classrooms and multipurpose areas to a horticultural learning zone, an all-weather walking track, and inclusive outdoor amenities. The Peace Foundation will continue to occupy part of the building, maintaining its presence and connection with the local community.
This project builds upon the successful delivery of previous SEND schemes such as Woolston Learning Village, reinforcing Warrington’s commitment to inclusive, accessible education and Ellis Williams Architects’ role in shaping transformational, community-focused spaces.
Planning has been obtained and Read Construction has been appointed as the contractor. The Hub is scheduled to be complete by Autumn 2026.
